NHAI has expanded dust-control work on key highway stretches around Delhi-NCR ahead of winter. The deployment includes roughly 60 water sprinklers and tankers, 14 anti-smog guns and more than 900 workers.
The authority said it had deployed 23 mechanical road sweepers and two tractor-mounted broomers. Thirteen mechanical sweepers are covering 157km of national-highway stretches in Delhi-NCR.
The work is being paired with daily monitoring and compliance measures covering construction material and road surfaces. These measures form part of winter air-quality controls on the highway corridors.
