Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 has entered the global box office conversation, with the film ranking among the top-grossing films of 2026.

After 21 days in theatres, the film had crossed more than 1,000 crore net in India and built a strong worldwide gross. Its performance placed it close to some of Indian cinema's biggest recent box-office benchmarks.

"India's story in 2026 is no longer about catching up — it's about defining what comes next."

The film's success shows the continuing strength of large-scale theatrical entertainment in India, even as streaming platforms expand aggressively.

Audiences appear to be responding to event-style cinema that feels big enough for theatres. Strong action, star power, repeat viewing and social media buzz have all helped the film sustain momentum beyond opening weekend.

Dhurandhar 2's April run also reinforces a wider industry trend: Indian films with scale and franchise potential are no longer domestic stories alone. They are global box-office players.
