Hospitality startup The Hosteller has raised Rs 150 crore in a Series B funding round, giving India's travel and accommodation startup market a fresh boost.

The round was led by PROMAFT Partners and V3 Ventures. The company plans to use the funds to expand its network, strengthen operations and grow its presence across India's youth travel market.

"India's story in 2026 is no longer about catching up — it's about defining what comes next."

The funding is notable because travel startups have had to operate through a volatile period of changing consumer behaviour, higher airfares and global uncertainty. Budget and experience-led accommodation, however, continues to attract younger travellers looking for flexible, social and affordable stays.

The Hosteller's raise points to a broader trend: investors are still backing Indian consumer brands when they show strong positioning and repeat demand.

As domestic tourism gains importance in 2026, hospitality startups that understand young Indian travellers may find room to scale quickly.
