Most franchises arriving in India promise food, fashion or fitness. Mr Sparkel came to Delhi with something different: a specialist service designed to give blinds a second life.

The New Zealand blind-care business made its Indian debut at Franchise India 2026, held on 16 and 17 May at Yashobhoomi, the India International Convention and Expo Centre in Delhi. There, Mr Sparkel introduced its franchise model to entrepreneurs and prospective partners looking for practical, service-led business opportunities.

Representing the brand from New Zealand was Mr. James.

For many homes and workplaces, blinds are easy to forget until they are stained, damaged or no longer working properly. Mr Sparkel’s model is built around solving that problem. The business cleans, repairs, installs, removes, stores and alters blinds, helping customers restore what they already own instead of replacing it unnecessarily.

“People invest in their homes and workplaces, but blinds are often overlooked until they become a real problem,” James said. “We saw an opportunity to bring a specialist service to India that is practical, reliable and makes a visible difference straight away.”

Among the people who met the Mr Sparkel team at the expo was Arjun, a prospective franchise buyer. His interest reflected the kind of conversation the brand had come to Delhi to begin: connecting with people who see value in a hands-on, locally delivered service that addresses an everyday need.

The company’s arrival at the Delhi expo marks the beginning of its move into India, with a focus on connecting with franchise partners who understand their communities and want to build a trusted service business.

“India has enormous energy and entrepreneurial ambition,” James said. “The conversations we had in Delhi showed us there is real interest in businesses that solve everyday problems well. That is exactly what Mr Sparkel is about.”

Mr Sparkel has built its reputation in New Zealand around specialist knowledge, convenient service and careful attention to detail. Its team works with a broad range of blinds and uses biodegradable, environmentally safe cleaning solutions as part of its established service offering.

For franchise partners, the opportunity is about more than cleaning blinds. It is about becoming the local expert customers call when something needs fixing, refreshing, fitting or removing.

“We want the right people to take this forward in India,” James said. “People who care about quality, enjoy helping customers and want to build a business with a service people can genuinely see the value in.”

With its Delhi launch now complete, Mr Sparkel is looking ahead to the next phase of its Indian journey: finding the partners who can help bring a little more shine to homes and workplaces across the country.
