The Indian Premier League has swapped two Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings fixtures in the 2026 season schedule.

The afternoon match between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, originally scheduled for 26 April in Ahmedabad, will now be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The reverse fixture, originally set for 21 May in Chennai, will move to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad as an evening match.

"India's story in 2026 is no longer about catching up — it's about defining what comes next."

The change affects team logistics, fan planning and home-ground advantage for both franchises.

Schedule changes are never minor in a tournament as tightly packed as the IPL. Teams plan travel, training and recovery around match locations, while fans often organise tickets and travel weeks in advance.

For Chennai and Gujarat supporters, the swap means a different match-day experience. For the league, it reflects the constant coordination needed to manage one of the world's busiest cricket tournaments.
